We want to work with children, not for them

2016 Eurochild Report on the European Semester featured in Slovak Media.

The conference “Listen to Children” on Inclusive Education was organised by the Coalition for Children Slovakia in Bratislava. 

The Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport Plavčan Peter, who was among the speakers, answered questions from students, parents and teachers."It is necessary to return to the respect and esteem for teachers that also includes salary increases. We need to create  good conditions, so that teachers and students would feel well at school "said the Minister.

The 2016 Eurochild Semester Report was introduced by Jana Hainsworth, Secretary General of Eurochild, a network organization based in Brussels that brings together 176 institutions in 35 countries to defend children's rights and improve the quality of life of children and young people. 

"Our vision is that we do not want to work for them, but with them. We want to improve children's role in society and tackle child poverty."stated Jana Hainsworth.
