Beneath the Surface: Child Poverty in Northern Ireland

The Child Poverty Alliance (CPA), co-chaired by Children in Northern Ireland (CiNI) and Save the Children launched the report ‘Beneath the Surface: Child Poverty in Northern Ireland’, aiming to provide insights into the issues exacerbating child poverty in Northern Ireland.

The report highlighted that “children who have a disability and children who live in a household with a disabled parent or sibling are most likely to experience poverty.” The evidence presented in the report suggests that child poverty will reach shocking levels by 2020 despite Government’s commitment to eradicate it.
