Child Helpline International: Connecting to Children

Connecting to Children is published to provide a comprehensive set of data that presents the voices of children in need of care and protection.

The eighth edition of Connecting to Children, Child Helpline International’s annual compilation of data from
member child helplines around the world, contains data for 2009 from members in Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean, Asia- Pacific, Europe and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Connecting to Children is published to provide a comprehensive set of data that presents the voices of children in need of care and protection. The data is the key which allows the network to influence key decision makers to take action to improve the lives of children.

Child Helpline International (CHI) is the global network of child helplines working to protect the rights of children. Founded in October 2003, CHI’s goal is to reach out to children and young people through any means of telecommunication and outreach service available to them.
