CRAG statement: "Children's Rights in the EU Budget 2014-2020: Making Children Visible"

CRAG's statement was released ahead of the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for 2014-2020 discussions at the General Affairs Council.

In this statement, the Child Rights Action Group urges the EU to demonstrate its commitment towards children’s rights in the EU budget 2014-2020 by ensuring both mainstreaming and allocation of sufficient funding to child rights programming. Moreover, expenditure on children must not be hindered by the impact of the financial crisis.

CRAG's aim is to ensure that the rights of the child are protected, respected and fulfilled in EU policy and legislation. The group strongly believes that the EU can have a substantial and positive impact on the lives of children.
