Adopting a child rights approach to child poverty does not undermine parents’ rights

I

n this position paper, Eurochild re-states that the best way to tackle child poverty and social exclusion is to focus on a multi-dimensional approach based on the three pillars of access to adequate resources, access to quality services and opportunities and children’s participation. These three pillars constitute the basis of a Recommendation on child poverty and well-being to which the European Council confirmed its commitment on 17 June 2011.
