Our Outreach and Communications in 2025

Annual Report 2025.

Our online audience and readership continued to grow steadily throughout 2025, maintaining positive momentum despite 2024 being a conference year, typically a peak period for attracting new and diverse visitors to our platforms.

Some stats:

  • Social media followers increased: 11.4K on LinkedIn (+24%), 10K on Facebook (+12%); 2.2K on Instagram (+20%)
  • Website views: 34.6K views from Europe and beyond
  • eNews Bulletin Newsletter: 3.4K subscribers with an opening rate of 32%
  • InfoFlash Newsletter: with an opening rate of 44,5%
  • Members Room: 630 users, 1.6K views
  • Articles, statements and blogs published: 150+, out of which 56 showcased our members’ work

We launched the Fighting Anti Rights Movements campaign, gathering the stories, experiences and calls from our members on the ground who are being attacked because of their work. We also denounced the alarming shrinking space and funds for civil society organisations across Europe and beyond.

On the third anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine, we sought insights from our members about the pressing priorities for children's wellbeing and continued to share updates throughout the year.

Through our public statements addressing Israeli violence in Palestine, we have consistently called for justice and accountability, demonstrating leadership at times when many peer NGOs, governments, and institutions remained silent.

During a coordinated week of action with ECLAG, a coalition of civil society organisations, including Eurochild, we delivered a high-impact campaign moment in Brussels with a stunt highlighting the consequences of political inaction on tackling child sexual abuse. We also amplified the voices of Eurochild’s NOVA Council through powerful video testimonies, with children sharing their perspectives on key issues such as online safety, abuse and age verification, reinforcing the urgency for policymakers to act.

Our expertise on children’s rights and child poverty, our timely and informed responses to major developments, including the conflicts in South West Asia and the ongoing debate on children’s online protection, have significantly increased media engagement. Journalists have increasingly sought our perspectives and expertise, reinforcing our position as a trusted and authoritative voice in the field of child rights.

Audiovisual content and media relations

  • We developed and filmed the “Guardians” short documentary. Disseminated by the GUIDE project partners in different languages to raise awareness of difficulties, stories and needs of guardians of unaccompanied children, it features interviews of professionals from Ukraine living in Slovakia.
  • We produced “Children explain online safety”, a video co-created with the children of the NOVA Council (Network of Online Visionaries in Action), a group of eight children aged 12 to 17 who are dedicated to making the digital world safer for all young people.
  • Through a pro-bono ad campaign to boost online views, we outperformed our target (156K views!) and reached out to a much wider audience than usual via our introductory and donation video on YouTube.
  • Together with the European Parliament and the Eurochild Children’s Council we produced a video for the Parliament’s official Instagram and LinkedIn pages on Children’s Day.
  • We released six podcast episodes on children’s rights, providing a dedicated space for reflection and diverse perspectives in a long form.
  • We published six 1-minute video explainers on social media to raise awareness about different topics in simple language
  • We produced a digital Annual Report 2024, featuring our achievements and a summary video.
  • Our messages and reports were quoted by many international media outlets, from Euronews, Euractiv and Politico to national media and news agencies, from Italy to Turkey.
  • Our opinion pieces were published by Philea, EESC, with two blogs about poverty and rights, London School of Economics and several more.
  • We collaborated with external illustrators and designers to create visually compelling reports and social media visuals.
  • As part of ECLAG’s week of action, we were featured on Politico and Brussels Times (including the printed version).
