Child maltreatment in Europe: model of interventions for combating and preventing the phenomenon
Online roundtable
On 8 September 2022 (10:00 -11:30 CEST) Eurochild member Cesvi Foundation organises an EU round table to share experiences of child maltreatment prevention and response in Europe.
The event is presented within the PEARLS for children EU funded project that aims at preventing and combating child maltreatment. The project has been implemented since October 2020 in Bergamo (Italy), Vilnius (Lithuania) and Warsaw (Poland) and it will end in September 2022. The Project promotes a model of intervention based on two main activities:
- Capacity building sessions on Assisted Resilience paradigm, that reached 300 professionals working with kids and families
- Multi-stakeholder groups that engaged 80 professionals and brought to the drafting of a common strategy on how to prevent and combat child maltreatment locally.
At the online event positive results and emerging best practices will be presented and discussed to promote the replication of the PEARLS for children’s model in other European countries. Agata D'Addato, Eurochild Senior Project Manager, will speak at the event.
