Daphne-CHILD High-level Conference

1 October; 09:15 – 16:00 CET; European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), Rue Van Maerlant 2, 1000 Bruxelles.

This event is organised by Eurochild and Terre des hommes, in partnership with the EESC's Civil Society Organisations' Group, with financial support from the EU’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme.

Join us on 1 October, as we mark this year’s International Day of Non-Violence, celebrate the success of the grantee partners in this programme, and come together in Brussels to amplify the importance of addressing violence against children across Europe, within the EU’s Recommendation on developing and strengthening integrated child protection systems in the best interests of the child.

The Daphne-CHILD programme is active in nine European countries: Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, and Ukraine. We are distributing €1.3 million in sub-grants to support impactful local interventions that enhance the lives of children and young people. The 48 projects funded under this programme are supporting 23,000 children, 3,200 families, and 1,800 professionals in the field of preventing violence against children.

During the event, there will be series of Human Library sessions, where each grantee partner is invited to showcase their project’s work to prevent violence.
