Facilitating the Integration of refugee and asylum-seeking children and caregivers in Europe

10-11 JANUARY 2024, BUCHAREST.

Eurochild and FONPC are organising an international conference to share good practices and lessons on how civil society can facilitate the integration of refugee and asylum-seeking children.

Eurochild Romanian member FONPC (The Federation for Non-Governmental Organisations for Children), together with CARE France, ICVA, and Eurochild, have the great pleasure to invite you to an international conference which will take place in Bucharest on 10-11 January 2024.

Come to learn, share good practices and challenges, discuss policy recommendations and connect with like-minded NGOs and key stakeholders (UN, donors, EC & Government agencies, research institutes and universities). We will discuss European protection systems for migrants and refugees and we will also cover the subtheme of Protection of Children and Gender Based Violence.

After this date, our organising committee will select who will be able to participate in person based on expertise and offer for contribution, geographic and zonal representativeness, covering travel and accommodation expenses, within budget limitations. Priority will be given to local and national NGOs, including refugee led organisations, actively engaged in a programme focused on migrant, refugee and displaced children and care-givers, ensuring a diversity of perspectives - with nuances from different countries, programmatic and policy/advocacy experiences, models and good practices to be showcased. The rest of the applicants will be invited to attend online.

  • If you have good practices to share or would like to suggest speakers who have technical specialist skills and who can enrich our discussions, please share your suggestions with Valentina from FONPC: valentina.mirza@fonpc.com
