Education unlocks opportunities

Since 2019, Eurochild member Czepczyński Family Foundation (CFF) has been dedicated to teaching, supporting, and empowering children to better understand the world around them.

CFF was founded by Polish entrepreneurs Artur Czepczyński and his wife Justyna, who envisioned a platform that would combine knowledge, engagement, and professionalism to create innovative educational tools for young learners. From the very beginning, they were guided by one clear belief: education is not a cost but an investment in the future, an investment that benefits children, their communities, and society as a whole.

The Foundation introduces children to the basics of economics so they can better cope with everyday challenges as adults. It teaches empathy to help them build healthy peer relationships and helps children recognise and manage their emotions, strengthening their resilience and overall well-being. Through these combined efforts, CFF aims to equip every child with the essential life skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

To date, CFF has developed and implemented three comprehensive educational projects for children aged 5 to 10: ABC of Emotions (health and emotional education), ABC of Empathy (inclusive education), and ABC of Economics (financial education). “We focus on three pillars: economic education, inclusive education, and mental-health prevention through emotional education. Together, they form what we call the ‘competencies of the future.’ Empathy is not a soft value but a hard skill for life,” explains Damian Kupczyk, President of the Czepczyński Family Foundation.

Each project includes high-quality educational materials developed by methodologists, teachers, and subject experts. Participating schools receive easy-to-read books for children and comprehensive supporting materials for teachers, including knowledge resources, practical tips, and activity ideas. CFF also provides online training to ensure that teachers feel confident and fully prepared to implement the programmes effectively.

With its own resources and funds raised together with partners, CFF has already introduced its programmes in more than 6,000 schools across Poland. While the projects began locally, the Foundation quickly recognised that educational needs are universal. Today, CFF materials are available in several languages (EN, DE, ES, PT, IT, and FR) and are prepared for implementation in schools worldwide. A significant recent milestone is a pilot programme in Ukraine, where ABC of Empathy is being delivered in 550 schools, accompanied by training for hundreds of teachers to support children’s mental wellbeing.

CFF also collaborates with international partners and contributes to advocacy and policy work. The ABC of Economics project helped inform the European financial competence framework for children, while ABC of Empathy was included in the European Commission’s guidelines on wellbeing and mental health in schools. In 2025, CFF representatives took active part in Expo 2025 in Osaka and in a United Nations conference in Doha focused on social issues.
