Redes AFE: A home for me, a chance to live as a family

Redes AFE is a project developed by Eurochild member FICE Spain to promote specialized foster care to contribute to the well-being of children and to transform the foster family into a very valuable resource of continuous and intensive intervention.

As part of the project, Redes AFE is developing its dissemination campaign, which consists of a short film, exhibitions, talks and trainings, to raise awareness about specialised foster care and to attract foster families.

The campaign and exhibition "Emotional Armor" is a campaign designed to help repair the emotional damage of some children. Under the slogan "No one should grow up with a suit of armour", the campaign is aimed at professionals in the health, socio-community or socio-educational fields, with practical experience in their tasks, capable of developing a restorative action through a pioneering program of specialized foster care. The key piece of 'Emotional Armour' is a spot that shows the situations that these children and adolescents have to face, and how.

There has also been an exhibition of the armour in some of the most representative cities in Spain such as Madrid, Barcelona, Vitoria, San Sebastian and Pamplona. Building on the "Emotional Armour" campaign, the team has also offered informative talks to interested families and training to interested staff.
