An Ambitious EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child

Eurochild is celebrating the new EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child, published on 24 March 2021. We specifically welcome that the Strategy was developed with the participation of children themselves.  Eurochild, in partnership with several child rights organisations and the European Commission facilitated the participation of 10,000 children in a consultation to inform the content of the Strategy and the Child Guarantee.

We are extremely happy to see that the Strategy is accompanied by a child-friendly version developed in consultation with children. Presenting the information in an easy to understand and accessible format shows a willingness to inform children how their rights are being upheld by the European Union institutions.
