Former director of For Our Children Foundation becomes new Bulgarian minister of labour and social policy

Ivanka Shalapatova, former director of Eurochild member For Our Children Foundation announced she has accepted the role and will focus on creating the conditions for a real change in the lives of all Bulgarian citizens.

For Our Children Foundation is a Bulgarian non-governmental organisation that has been supporting vulnerable Bulgarian children and their families since 1992. The foundation is a member of Eurochild and National Coordinator for Bulgaria in the First Years, First Priority campaign on Early Childhood Development together with Trust for Social Achievement.

"You are aware that For Our Children Foundation has been providing comprehensive support to children at an early age for more than 30 years, and we have managed to change the lives of over 22 000 children and their families. We achieved many important victories, we created adapted and stimulating spaces that carry the spirit of our joint efforts, the spirit of cohesion, the importance of family for the growth, development and building of the child as a person. Together, we put children at the center. I am proud to have been part of this amazing team of professionals. I am proud that we achieved sustainability with your invaluable support. The cause of For Our Children Foundation will always remain my personal cause as well." - said Ivanka Shalapatova.

Mariana Taseva, who has been part of the team for more than 12 years, is taking on the role of new Executive Director of the Foundation.
