DataCare Country Overview - Ireland

In the context of the DataCare project, key data on children in alternative care for each country in EU and the UK have been analysed to map how EU Member States and the UK currently collect data on the situation of children in alternative care.

Significant improvements have been made to the quality and timeliness of the publicly available data on child protection and alternative care since the establishment of Tusla in 2014. The creation of the Irish Data Hub site enables the user to access, analyse and share information.

Read the country overview.
