Children of Heroes Foundation joins the International Ukraine Recovery Conference

Eurochild member, the Children of Heroes Foundation (COHF) participated in the International Ukraine Recovery Conference, held in Berlin on 11-12 June 2024. This significant event marked a crucial milestone in the Foundation's ongoing efforts to support children affected by the war in Ukraine.

With a mission to empower children who have lost their parents due to war, during the Conference, COHF representatives engaged in meaningful discussions and collaborations with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government officials, international organisations, businesses, and civil society actors. They actively presented projects and objectives, centred on providing comprehensive support for children's mental health, education, and overall development.

Being part of the discussion provided a unique opportunity to forge new partnerships, expand the Foundation's reach, and reaffirm its commitment to fostering a brighter future for Ukraine's children, who have lost one or both parents due to large-scale war. Moreover, the Conference provided a valuable platform to exchange experiences, discover innovative approaches, and strengthen support mechanisms for beneficiaries.

COHF's CEO, Tetiana Novytska, passionately emphasized the importance of social recovery as the cornerstone of Ukraine's future. She highlighted that true recovery extends beyond physical reconstruction, encompassing the well-being of individuals, particularly the children who bear the brunt of the conflict's impact. "Social recovery is not just about buildings and roads. It is about people, their future, and the future of our children. Let's create this future together!" - stated Tetiana Novytska.

COHF expressed its sincere gratitude to all the individuals and organisations who contributed to the success of the Conference and its ongoing work.
