DataCare Country Overview - Greece
In the context of the DataCare project, key data on children in alternative care for each country in EU and the UK have been analysed to map how EU Member States and the UK currently collect data on the situation of children in alternative care.
Since the start of the deinstitutionalisation programme in 2018 both the alternative care system and its data system have reformed significantly. More data are being collected on children in alternative care in a systematic way and this brings greater transparency to the situation of children in the Greek alternative care system.
