GUIDE - Transnational Training of Trainers Manual

This manual developed as part of the GUIDE project, is divided into five modules, each designed to provide practical tools and knowledge for trainers in guardianship services.

This publication expands upon the Fundamental Rights Agency’s (FRA) manual for guardianship training by providing practical tools and methodologies to help trainers facilitate guardianship in a manner that is both child-centered and participatory. Adapted specifically for trainers across five EU member states—Poland, Slovakia, Greece, Italy, and Bulgaria—as part of the GUIDE project, the manual is designed to be flexible, enabling further adaptation to each country’s unique context and needs.

The manual equips trainers with resources to support guardians in performing their duties with independence, impartiality, and confidence, especially during interactions with State officials, service providers, and local communities. Additionally, it includes references to a complementary web-based learning platform, built on Moodle, which features presentations, videos, interactive exercises, and other materials to support distance learning and reinforce in-person training.
